Have a question regarding a matter sartorial
I couldn't locate any online tutorial
My question concerns a piece of clothing you're wearing
If you have the answer, appreciate you sharing
It's the middle of summer, the news reports
People outside, having fun of all sorts
At the beach or a concert, playing all types of sports
What are they wearing? A T-shirt and shorts
It's the middle of winter, the cold winds are strong
Going out in a T-shirt and shorts? That would be wrong
Wondering if snow is expected, winter prolongs?
What are you wearing? You're wearing your 'longs'
Wearing your 'longs'? What's that nonsense?
Thnk about it, you'll find it makes perfect sense
We use 'shorts' to mean pants that end somewhere near the knees
So what's wrong with 'longs'? Comment, if you please
