I'm sorry, not today 

The air traffic controllers

They've been working without pay

The FAA says there's no other way

How are you affected? I'll explain

If you're planning to go somewhere 

And plan to take a plane 

You may now need to take a bus or train 

You look so angry 

Air travel you despise

Costs continue to rise 

Where are the 'friendly skies'?

Shouldn't get angry 

One thing I should make clear

Regardless what you hear 

Next Monday, more flights are cancelled 

The shutdown, it continues as we speak 

In Washington, they're hopin'

They'll be open by next week 

The Democrats say nothing 

They appear so meek
