For many it's the underpinning
Of everything that they believe
Since the time of Genesis
Technology has come to this
We're a long way from Adam and Eve
In days gone by, before AI
If you were engaged in a conversation
It never entered your imagination
If the person you were talking to
Who might be a stranger to you
Was a real live human being
Today, they've changed all the rules
And we are left to play the fools
As artificial intelligence
Takes over, and brings a new sense
Of reality you thought would never be
To doubt what your eyes are seeing
