Happy Birthday U.S.A.

It's the 4th of July, a big celebration

To commemorate the birth of our nation

You must excuse me, don't feel so fine

When I think of our country at 249

Looks like the U.S. has now reached an age

It may feel, time to turn the page

Turn our backs on our history

Say goodbye to democracy

Our leader's a man, don't dare ask him why

Doesn't like a law? He'll just nullify

'The rule of law? The hell with the rules

I do what I want, you can't stop me, fools!'

How about the courts? They should step up and say

Along with Congress 'This isn't ok'

But, it's become self-evident

Nobody's willing to take on the President

The U.S. will endure and for what it's worth

I recall these words on the day of its birth

But something feels strange, the words need a change

'Government of, by and for the people

Will soon perish from the Earth'
