Be on guard with Bernard

There once was a man named Bernard

Who no one could disregard

Didn't put up with fools

Who didn't follow his rules

For he was a school crossing guard

If you broke Bernard's rules, you he'd scold

Wouldn't matter how young or how old

You could be a saint or a sinner

To Bernard, you were no winner

Were a loser, that's what I've been told

He was a crossing guard not to be crossed

But was the benefit worth the cost?

For what they pay crossing guards

Sent Bernard warm regards

He remained cold, told me to get lost
