Keep Hope Woodard

Headline in the N.Y. Times:

'She's Not Celibate ---- She's 'Boysober'

The 'She' referred to in this story is a young woman named Hope Woodard. Ms  Woodard, 27, took a year-long break from sex and dating. Imo, she's an attractive woman who I'm sure would have no problem with men wanting to be with her.

What's behind her decision to forgo sex for a year? I've never met this woman, know nothing about her, but I think I know. It's her name. Hope Woodard. Had she been putting too much pressure on the men she's been meeting? Say we have a mutual friend. Our mutual friend thinks we would hit it off, so she gives me her number, I ask her to dinner, and she accepts.

I'm waiting in the restaurant when a woman comes in, walks up to me and says 'Hi. Nice to meet you. Hope Woodard'. I'm meeting this woman for the first time, and the first thing she says to me is she hopes my wood is 'ard?

I don't know. Maybe I'm not used to women being so sexually aggressive. How do you answer a complete stranger who tells you she hopes your wood is 'ard? I guess I could say something like 'Baby, my wood's getting 'arder every minute I'm with you. Wanna see?' I'm guessing if I said that I can forget about a second date with Hope Woodard. Hope, I hope you always find the wood you seek 'ard!
