'Negotiators Close In on Hostage Deal That Would Halt War in Gaza for Weeks'

'Hello'

'Hi. How are you?'

'Oh hey, I'm good. What can I do for you?'

'I have the negotiators here and they have an idea. I wanna run it by you and see what you think'

'What is it?'

'Their idea is we stop the fighting for a couple of weeks'

'What, are they crazy? How are we supposed to fight a war against you guys if we're not fighting? It makes no sense!'

'Hold on. Hear me out. In return for us not killing each other for a couple of weeks, there also will be some releasing of hostages'

'Mm, I don't know. What do you think?'

'I'm willing to give it a shot. If it doesn't work out, we'll just go back to fighting. No big deal. What do you say?'

'All right, but you understand I can't just take your word on it. I need something in writing'

'That's fine. I'll get something on paper and email it to you. I'll Fedex the original overnight so you'll have it tomorrow morning. Sound good?'

'Thank you. That sounds great. Ok, gotta run. Hate you'

'Hate you too. Bye'
