Rushing Things

I'm sure it hasn't hit you yet,

But your a day away from leaving.

And its not to the Starbucks in the valley,

Or the harbor, where you're supposed to meet me.

You're leaving for the unknown,

Because your scared of what we're becoming.

And even if it was everything you ever wanted,

I think you would still run.

I'm not sure where you're going,

And I won't wait or chase you down.

I said I wanted to fight for you,

But this ship is sinking now.

I'm sorry if I rushed things;

It just seemed like what you wanted.

I thought we could keep on chasing this

Even after we caught it.
