July Rain

Drops drizzle down from a colourless sky

The garden plants

                             still as idle as

                                        dead flies.

A humid conservatory,

               reminds me,

of the inside of his mouth

- which was at once my house.

He said he saw something “change in my eyes.”

I told him I’d spent “my whole life dry.”

Still as idle as dead flies. My whole life dry. Just some of the lines I like. Great
