Yellow

Folder:
Juvenilia

I see the pure-white snow that falls

From pure dull silver skies

And though it may seem beautiful

I know the whiteness lies

It's purity reminds me

Of the darkness that's within

I am so far off from white

I'm black and red from sin

It's cold and rather solemn

Quite like my bleeding heart

And it falls from Heaven

Just as from grace, I'll depart

The white sheen quite depresses me

I tread through that which fell

This seeming winter beauty

Is my own surviving hell

I feel like I'm committing

A crime of the worst kind

As I destroy the whiteness

I'm walking like I'm blind

I stumble through the falling snow

I'm desperate not to cry

I dream about such suicides

They succeed with every try

I know just where the cuts should go

I see the falling red

I'll wait a little longer

I hope I'll soon be dead

The red pours down into the white

And desecrates the snow

The colour is a new one now

Not red, not white, but yellow.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Someone once told me that when you mix blood with snow, it turns yellow. Is it true? I don't know. But it makes for interesting poetry.

Its..sad...;_;...but I think its cool more than sad....and I really like the idea...how red and white, blood and snow mixes and turns to yellow.
