Little Boy

Folder:
Cute (G)

You make me remember

Of times so long gone

When I was just a boy

And could do no wrong

I keep seeing my past

Every time you smile at me

Makes me realize

Before you I wasn't complete

And when I found myself thinking

I should have done things differently

A gentle whisper in the wind

Says you wouldn't be with me

Oh little boy

My pride and joy

My only son

My precious one

Oh little boy

My pride and joy

My only son

My precious one

Sometimes I feel like

I'm a hundred years old

I hear that's not so strange

Yeah that's what I've been told

But as you grow older

If you see any good in me

Son I want you to know

You put that good in me

And when you ask me all your questions

About the world and yourself

Please remember son

I asked these same things myself

Oh little boy

My pride and joy

My only son

My precious one

Oh little boy

My pride and joy

My only son

My precious one

Never forget how much I love you son

This ain't over when I'm gone

In fact it's just begun

Just follow your heart and I'm sure that you'll find your way

And maybe you can tell me about it oh some day

Please forgive me

For all the mistakes I'm going to make

This ain't like the movies kid

Life gives you just one take

But I promise you one thing

No matter what happens good or bad

I swear I'll give my all

To be the world's best dad

And when you start your own family

And you dad's gone old and gray

Maybe you can sing this same old song

To your first son someday

Oh little boy

My pride and joy

My only son

My precious one

Oh little boy

My pride and joy

My only son

My precious one

(repeat until he falls asleep)

It is a very touching poem. Its obvious that someone who has a huge heart wrote it
