With one-sided gates

Arteries, constriction

Black rabbitt, smokey

Scavanging the underbrush

Twitching, cautious oblivion

in a conversation with strangers

who soon changed the subject

The house blew a fuse

So I fixed the switch

Minutes later, the fuse blew again

A lady on the train

Carried tissues always

Even when she wasn't sick



VI.

Push your two palms together

No progress, just strain

Human nature rarely feels natural

The last sign

on the road after death said,
