Obituary

There's nothing to say

About death

That Shakespeare didn't say better

Just the heartache

Would be reason enough

A personal touch

On a communal truth

Can't be out of the question

There is an unbridled romance

About the only true

Inescapable thing

You can live and never be loved

You can find ways to skip taxes

But every single thing

Will die

THE universal truth

That the universe shares

An end?

A beginning,

Leading to an end,

Leading to a beginning?

Puzzle, riddle, conundrum

One may even declare it

Perfect.

Author's Notes/Comments:

For me, death is a lady.
