Flower Bed Fall

I lie here in a bed of flowers

Roses for love

They surround me for hours

They do not wilt

They do not die

They grow and grow and reach the sky

The petals support me

They are comfy and soft

They are smooth to touch

They raise me aloft

I’m top of the mornin’

No cares in the world

I picked up a petal

It went cold, and curled.

I tear it up

And stand up tall

I shout to the skies

“I Will Not Fall!”

As the roses were falling

They stalled and came back

I so nearly stumbled

Now I’m back on track.
