Behind Walls

She led her life effervescent

but behind those walls,

she lie unecstatic.

Cheerful and happy she seemed to be

Underneath it all,

Trapped, corrupt, wanting to break free.

Smiles worn to hide away her pain.

Bombarded with intense pressure,

She tries to abstain.

Depressed and lonely,

She hides it no longer.

One shot to the head-

She fails to linger.

The private hells that exist behind our walls should give us all a pause, to reflect on the unthinkable I enjoyed this thank you
