life is hard yes life is fast
we’re moving without end
our hearts they long and cry out for
a hope a love a friend
company and family
make joy a home
but only one thing will not bend
and that’s in Christ alone
everytime i build it up
you knock it down
but then i know it is not i
then i lay my crown
times i wonder when i’ll be
when will it be spring
give me hope and give me strength
like David with the sling
comedies and tragedies
wander through this hall
jesus stays my center piece
for every time i fall
the enemy is coming near
its drawing to my side
help me Lord overcome
help my fears subside
