The Song Prancing Nero Sang

I do not have to know their theology

to accuse them of all sorts of shame:

their athiestic hypocrisy

threatens our Roman polity

in a crucified malefactor's name.

Each one of them is a dummy---

dwelling in quarters cheap and slummy;

just like infections, slimey and scummy.

I have never, like them, believed,

but unlike them I am not deceived.

These Christians?---I can always discern 'em.

Now take the lot out to my garden, and burn 'em'

Their fervent hopes do not fill me with dread.

I should like to ask of their Scriptures, Hath God said?

Starward
