Hard news came last night:  we must say farewell

to God's good servant, my friend---Preacher Bill,

who lived to preach the Gospel and to tell

the Good News from God---"Whosoever will"

believe may have the gift of real salvation,

and never face the terror of damnation.

He spent himself in lots of Christian labor,

preaching Christ's Word, and serving any neighbor

(known to him, or not) with a helping hand

according to the Lord's gracious command

that we should always have love for another.

By faith I know that Preacher Bill---my brother

in Christ since we worshipped on TheirWay Road---

now has eternal life in Christ's abode;

yes, Heaven, full of joys and endless day's

light in which we will sing our Savior's praise.

ENVOI TO THE BRETHREN OF SHAREDWAY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1994-1996:

Although we mourn the present separation,

death is not final, nor has ever been.

The SharedWay Brethren's Faith, through this duration,

will see us all together once again.
