Life and love are not the same
One is a joke the other a game
Why does love hurt so
As for me, I do not know
There is one thing that I have learned
About the one that I have yearned
Don't like someone who has nothing for you
It's just harder to get through
Perhaps life is just a play
And everyone plays their parts to their own dismay
It seems when something good occurs
Some other event seems to be worse
Broken hearts can't be mended
And the love for that person seems to never have ended
But in time the love will fade
In reality it's just in the shade
What doesn't kill us makes us stronger
But to learn and live, it just takes us longer
Love is a game that life plays with your heart
If you don't want to get hurt don't ever start
Don't fall in love and not expect to fall out
Because I will tell you without a doubt
Don't play the game you don't want to start
Because in the end you'll have a broken heart.
