Lucky

Blue are the eyes
that freeze me at glance.
Soft is the kiss
that I steal at every chance.
Safe are the arms
that hold me in the night.
Beautiful is the smile
that shines at me so bright.
Strong in the touch
that makes me feel insane.
Weakening is the voice
I hear whispering my name.
Passionate is the love
that keeps me here to stay,
and lucky is what I am
that he feels the same way.

I really like the way it

I really like the way it ends, just flows so right. I can tell from your picture that the two of you are lucky to have each other. Happiness and love are the best.

Yes I like the way it ends

Yes I like the way it ends too. I usually don't title a poem until after I write, but I think that is usual. Do you title poems before or after? Just curious. This is the first time I've let my poems be posted somewhere to be read so it's exciting. I have many many more, but they are getting sent to me from out of state because I didn't pack them by accident when I moved. Thanks again for the feedback! It is much appreciated!

I always title mine after I'm

I always title mine after I'm done writing, sometimes I'm not even sure where I'm headed with my words until I get there and at times it ends up in a place completely different than i expected.. and even better. You should see my drafts, i got stanzas mixed up everywhere. I don't try to write in order, i just write what i feel about the subject in general and then when i can write no more, i look at it all and reorganize so it sounds like I meant to write it that way lol. I hope you get all of your writings back, they are really good. My poems are some of my most treasured posessions.

I, too, write until I get to

I, too, write until I get to the end and find that it was not what I expected. That happens almost everytime. There are a few rare occasions when I come up with a good ending line, and write my way to it. But I'm sure that is less than ten times in my 250+ poems I've wrote in my entire life. LOL. I have a few stanzas but I always write in order. I'm not sure why. I'll start with a stanza then after I write it I'll get blocked and can't get any further. I usually draw a line and start over, I might put that stanza in as I go. LOL. My mother did happen to find my poems, and I know she is sending them to me, or is going to send them after she reads them all.. lol. I almost cried when I thought I could have lost them. But I was quite relieved when my mom said she found them! :)
