This evil Lives In me
It selfishly listens
to needless wants
That begs the destruction
of those you love
It burns rational resolve
in to embers of lust and desires
It tricks you with sentiments
And begs you question
the longevity of longing
It is love! it is love!
It is calling for you!

Haunted by the ghosts
of past regrets
I listen to the troubles
of lives less spent
I wish I could've spent
Just one day
- but you're in purgatory,
so still lament
Don't talk to me stop!
leave it alone!
I can't justify the measure
of the loss involved
My love didnt wait.
I had to find a fallguy
And I tried to fall
and loved as best I could.
I split my mind,
divided my heart
and if I could,
my soul I would.

Instead, I kill my troubles,
lies unseen
This evil lives in me
though it has not always been
I seek what is not mine now
but what should have been
One pressured split descision and
Thier mistake then
is my mistake now
and the cards laid different
Would have sprung
a life long love and passion
not the union of the snake.

Time is an evil, cruel master
Twisting the hands of fate
by seconds, years, hours,
minutes too late
and keeps you always
within distance of the once
Alternative to what is now
A cruel mean twisted fate
Entwined forever destined
from that one mistake
to now be deemed forever
the union of the snake.
