If I could prick the tip of my finger
with the passionate flood of your eloquence,
burn my heart with the truth of your fire,
pierce my soul with your determined spirit
so that remnants of your essence held fastened
to my rough edges; maybe, just maybe
I could be close to where you are.
Your mediocrity flaunts it's self
with out a care in the world
it speaks so deep it tears holes in my emotions.
Yet, frivolously you toss heart scrawls like crumbs
that I can't seem to follow like forgotten dreams,
I want to speak your heart language
commune with your soul to capture you
with brilliance that shines,
But even at the furtherest tip of your rays
I feel so far away.

Oh SSmoothie...youhave really
Oh SSmoothie...youhave really outdone yourself here, in my opinion. This captures so succinctly what is felt when something 'slips through their fingers'. I like it because it has a more 'earhty' resonance, and is not so 'off in space', dealing with the feeling in a more real and raw way.
