Soul mates What supersedes this hollow core?
The endless ache around the edges
of where my heart used to be,
before you took it?
What surpasses this feeling of dread,
the sudden desolation all around
from the moment that you suddenly
left my my world?
What exceeds this this hopeless longing
For consummation of a love so high
that's too beautiful to defile
With lustful whims?
What Overtakes this endless love?
Where is this gallant knight who will
take me away From this devastation
and bring me back to living?
What Surmounts this impossible situation
When not even my wildest imagination
Can see a way through to being one with two
there is though a tiny seed of hope ready to spawn
Another cycle of never ending doubt and fascination
With trying to catch the greatest thief of my tainted heart.

The thief made off with your love and left a tainted heart. It was not tainted when it was taken, I don't think.
