Why do you hear whispers of hate louder than my calls of love?
Why do you see the slights magnified and my heart as of a pebble stone?
Walk with me in the gentle light, shrug off those shadows;
see me for who I am and who you want to be.
Take away the painfilled muffle pillows, scream your justice now!
Call back all that was taken from you, and with in the hallowed halls
of your primal creation, draw the lines of a new destiny and re-creation day
today is your birthday born of a day you have chosen and will say;
to loosen a will exacted upon yourself and once extracted,
apply your own with gentle spirit to be all that you will yourself to be.
Cast off those demons that bite and plauge your heels, stomp them down
break free from those chains that others thoughts invaded in of your crown.
Wash yourself clean of fears and doubts!
This is your ablution!
This is who you are
the time to forfil is now!
Your destiny is but a small reason how
Clear of mind and clear of sight
in the profound cast off sorrows the
devil will no more delight.
Let him fondle in memory the shell cast off for a lighter life
and pushed away ever more from that devils claw;
oh how you shine brighter!

wow smoothie sometimes you just get how I feel or think and it blows me away
I read one line and was like yup HUGS

good line and life motto
and

over all the poem did not sit with me, but those lines of wow did they ever smack home!

A powerful and stirring poem, very moving and motivating. Funny how things will cling to us at times. I'm certain anyone in such straits will begin to feel to shackles slipping away and catch the first glimpse of the break of day. Great write! I love your kind and compassionate soul ;-)
