Hiding and seeking

She pottered around the house
Looking for a place to hide her burden
It wasn't safe in a coffe cup
or drowned in a bottle of burbon

It wasn't safe in the garden
Under the Lillie's or the roses
Despite the thick leaves or barbs an
not in a dug up pit filled, in the yard

It didn't fit in a thimble by the bed
It didn't sit right on her pillow next to her head
It was too crazy to lie still on the floor
And the room was too big to just shut the door

She thought of the cabinet above the basin
But the razors were too close.
She thought of every place and space
But none would fit the part,
So she she put in back where it was
And locked it on her heart

And God sent an angel to claim it for her
And gave her a brand new start!
