There is in a land far, far away a tree
And people come from miles around
just to see its leaves glisten in the sun
And stand under this mood altering tree

The arms of its branches stretched far
And wide hugging the shade and cool air
Children would often climb its branches
and get lost for hours in the mazelike tangles

No one knew how the tree got to be there
For it was surely the only one of its kind
Searched There was no other they could find
Oh how good it would be to have another one

Then more could fit on such unkind days
To lift their spirits up and enjoy the fun
The leaves clinked together and formed a song
And the soft chimes soothed the aching souls

But once year at a special time in a special way
The most fabulous occurrence would appear that day
The mysterious musical tree would burst into flower
So magnificent in color, the fine translucent crystal like petals caught the sun
And fractured and bent light through prisms, sending them out

Hundreds of rainbow ribbons all about, sparkling auroras of color
Fairies came from all around to fill their pots of color
to dust their wings and other things that fairies adore to paint
Gnomes and elves, sprites and other mystical creatures came to
Dance and perform their ceremonial rites, marking the passage time

Even the nymphs, Goblins and trolls called a truce for that day
And the mighty Phoenix and the griffin so rarely seen
recluses as they are would fly through the rainbows
to catch some cheer and help them last another year.
For all who gathered round felt inexplicable joy and euphoria

It is such a happy tree
