Lying in a puddle of self delusion
Wallowing in confused illusions
Speaking of names and times
Waiting for the fuss.

Validating crimes pointing out the faces
Searing through my mind all the lonely places
Can I trust this mud, this stupid sod of dirt?
Slipping, sliding forcing sludge up toes, i'm girt!
Waiting for the fuss.

Picking at the bones, looking into hollows;
Checking under rocks. Who's there?
Why did you make me come? Why did I follow?
I don't want to be here. I shouldn't have come...
Forget waiting for the fuss.

Trusting of the shadows, deeper I went. devoid of feeling.
Hearing the echoes of the footprints I am chasing, chasing me.
I walked and stopped. frozen. I could not move magnetized to ground.
I felt the fear. The irrational terror. The demon had now come.
Damn waiting for the fuss!

I was alive! I could feel;
he smiled and danced around me! flashing his evil smile still,
He tapped me on the shoulder reminding me to take another pill.
He vanished leaving me alone to handle all my ills
I shrugged my shoulders spun around and heard a siren call.
It was the alarm I had set to give a wake up call.

I went to kitchen quite happy and relieved,
I took a pill and waited for the bus.
then, it hit me all at once
it hit me the bus.
And I waited,
Waited for the fuss...
