We all bare scars

We all bare scars – from our journey

through this world.

And we all limp along the road

of life,

having to bare them.

There is no way to avoid them – because

life will always

be a series of losses, until our journey

comes to an end.

The best we can do – both now and future

is to hold our head up

along the way,

and find a way to bare them.

Few things are as empowering

Few things are as empowering as owning our scars, being our authentic selves and, as you wisely advised, holding "our head up/ along the way". Valuable guidance on our path to serenity.

a bit of rubber on the wheels

The road of life – is full of lumps and bumps. Best to put a bit of rubber on the wheels and know a touch of first-aid. Poetry, being one of those cathartic practices.
