Autumnal Renaissance

Folder:
poems

Drifting leaves shift thoughts in my head

A bed laced with rushes of brown beckons

The late sun approaches only to fall instead

Stay out here with me for a few more seconds

Rebellious little evergreen refuses to fade

Jack begins to leave his signature underfoot

The tree's bow and shake, their opinion swayed

Fireplace crackles happily, coated with soot

Petals abandon the quivering flowers laid to rest

Survived through three quarters of the year

Summer once again has fulfilled his quest

It know now for certain, the autumn is here

Author's Notes/Comments:

I'm not sure, I felt sort of inspired. If you didn't know...the Jack I was refering to was Jack Frost :) being the childish person I am :P
