What If?

Ever wonder what if?

What if life was perfect?

If you had everything you wanted?

Had all the money you could imagine?

It wouldn't ease your memories.

Your painful childhood

The perfect family

Everyone thought you were

The community mom

Dad the baseball coach

Entellegent first child

Middle problem child

Every Sunday, church mass

Community football game

Made the time pass

But was rather lame

Then six years later

You came along

Into this perfect family

Is that where it went wrong?

The daughter they longed for

After conceiving two sons

Would she be a whore

Or alot of fun

Seemed to only create grief

Slowly all falling apart

They worked so hard

To keep it together

But couldn't manage

Two sons grown and out

With a teenage daughter

Still to raise

This caused a problem

With two children raised

Too tired to care

Is that fair?

A child who needs guidence

A father who needs God

A mother who needs help

Is there hope?

Not for us

We were so perfect

The model family

Now its gone

Thanksgiving Day football games

Big Christmas dinners

All up in flames

There are no winners

What is they never had that third child?

Could it have been saved?

Was she too wild?

Or would it still have caved?

No one will know what if

They will just know how it is

Good family, gone bad

What about what we had?

IOt's all in the dust

Gone with the wind

You shall do what you must

Try to move on

That was easier than thought

You just forgot

But now your mind tends to wander

Sometimes you sit and ponder

What if your family was great?

If it wasn't up to fate?

Would you still have that life?

Parents still husband and wife?

Sunday football games?

It all just pains

You to think.....

  What If?
