Touch

Folder:
innocence

I wish you'd remember my name

but you'd just stare politely into my eyes

its too much to take in

it takes me by surprise

your touch no longer friendly

just an accidental graze

I know that you know you remember

but cannot remember my name

the taste of your moonlit eyes sobers me

in times of quiet grief

even when I suffer beyond your comprehension

even if our lovely meetings are brief

I know that you've already finished

but I'm am not finished quite yet

the curve of your face and your fingers

I know I will never forget

Author's Notes/Comments:

My friend Ana and I made this together. She gets credit for half of the poem.
