BLACK THOUGHT

                            Black Thought

Blood and death on plantations/

Deeper than imaginations. /

Broader than race/

Rage ideas at the base. /

Encased by misinformation, /

Divided the X generation. /

In a domestic terrorist nation, /

Energy wasting. /

Wanting black skin to be similar, /

Sometime white is more familiar. /

Then I learn it's the mentality, /

That determines rationality.

Brothers killing, Sistas prostituting for salaries. /

Us wearing Sneakers, Alcoholic signs, /

Symbolic images of slavery. /

For the gods of Thievery, /

The captors of our ancestries. /

I fight for the information, /

And believe nations are raising. /

To the call of a united world. /

If the ideology is just European we'll be hurled. /

Continuously into a limited thought. /

Black thought, I though we fought. /

For the right to be known, /

Other than by the skin on our bones. /
