Two Loons

The clock reads three

I've lost track of the days

This winowless cell keeps me numb to time.

Hell, without the clock, I'd probably lose my mind.

Well, hell, here's the nurse

Nopefully taking me out for toast and tea

You know dearie, if you really want

Why not just let me go free?

The clock reads four, I need some more

Give me those damn pills

Give them here, I'll swallow them down

Just to get rid of these chills.

Hello there, son-who are you?

Are you here to set me free?

We'll break out the window before they turn

We'll run away before they throw away the key.

Why run away when we're happy here?

Why not just break the glass

We'll break some mirrors, get into fights

And maybe, even kick some ass.

Oh you're such a fool, if you only knew

They're gonna cut off your head

But if you really want that to happen to you

Then maybe you'd be better off dead.

Well, fine then, go, I'll let you know

I know just how to survive

They'll not cut of my head to make me dead

But you, they'll eat you alive.

Well, fine then stay, do as you may

I'll run and keep my head

I've learned my lesson and now I know

That cake is cake, not bread.
