I turned my back to the world a long time ago

Maybe that's why, it's turned its back on me

But I could have sworn

That the world turned first.



I spun around in circles

Trying to immitate the world

In hopes that I could capture some of its sparkle

But finding that it only made me dizzy, instead.



So now I sit here

With a tear in my eye

Wondering where I've spun off to

In search of a dream

That will never come true.
