Where should I begin to thank you?
This may take me a while
Maybe I should begin with
The uniqueness of your smile
Did I mention that I appreciate
That you always give me a hug
A day is never as good without someone
Showing their love
And I can’t forget the conversations that we have
And the way you seem to care
You make me feel as though no matter what
You will always be there
Oh yes. And Also I thank you for your spirit
Which is one of joy and glee
Even when times are tough
You seem to go on happily
Although it may seem to you
That I am going too far
I don’t think that you understand
The way you have touched my heart
Physical things mean nothing
And materials will pass away
But what you have given me
Will always be here to stay
If I thanked you for everything you did
This poem would never end
I guess that what I’m trying to say
