I go through life asleep

Never have awaken

Sin through all my times

Always am forsaken



Does sin inherit my soul?

Am I far from the Lord’s love?

Will I ever feel his presence?

In the form of a dove



Asleep from the spirit of God

Dreaming of sin and over greed

Always walking opposite

Taking more than I need



I know that I want him

To fill with love my heart

Buy has sin made me lose him?

Away from the very start



I know now that he loves me

Wants me by his side

In him I find comfort

I him I confide



He is above all others

He sits royal on high

I have awaken from my sleep

And no longer does he pass me by
