The Bloody Sleep

I see the shadow creep through the woods

With a weapon in it's hands

I hear a scream

I see a flash

Then the shadow begins to dash

It comes toward me with blood red eyes

Knowing my death is right around the corner

I scream and leap

But it does no good

The shadow grabes me and begins to pull

I now see the shiny knife start to rise

My life begins to fall apart

As it comes down into my haert

It's all over I'm done for now

It takes me in the woods and lies me down

Kicks me in the face to top my crown

He leaves me there to die to wether

I see the light coming toward me

Suddenly I hear on beeps

In the hospital I begin to weep

I've been practically killed

And now I'm alive

But the fear lives on that the shadow creeps

Coming out of the woods with a bloody sleep

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem at the age of eight. I was just seeing how our world really is.

*screams* EIGHT? I'm too scared to read the rest of your poems, if that's how good you were at eight, lol.
