Bring on what you take so offensive

Ask yourself why it stays on your mind

Live through and around it for now

Act as if nothing and no one can touch you



Just stop taking in all this sunlight

And for once embrace the dimmer impression

A reality check is nothing to cause shame

Healthy changes may save your burning hide



You've never been anything more then a carcass

Rotting and decaying in the afternoon shade

Watching the dust scatter throughout your breath

Your fingers kept twitching long after your mind snapped



All this time you've taken in the pesticides

And your perception's so dense with fine lines

As any other, you've seen life through a filter

Devoid of the colors black, white and grey



And pray for me as your demon rises

And I'll weep for you as my counter-part howls

And together we'll be a sight to behold

While everyone else strangles and stabs



In a desperate attempt to get away.
