Battles

I am but a worn out solider,

hurt in the line of battle.

I am not able to fight today,

but I live another day.

I have lost another battle,

but I can get up again.

Tomorrow is a new day,

to fight my battle again.

As long as I keep fighting,

I will not lose the war.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Written in 2003. This about stuff I've been through with graduate school. There will always be battles with group members or projects I have to do. I might not always win those battles, but I have not lost the war yet. I will not give up, I'll keep fighting even with the bruises.

This is really good- life can be a battle sometimes, but you gotta get back up and hit it head on. I'm glad someone else realises this. Keep fighting :)
