A Second Chance

I think I deserve a second chance,

at friendships and romance.

We all are human and make our mistakes,

we have our downfalls and earthquakes.

When our heart is in the right place,

you can see it in the expression of someone's face.



I feel I've been the best person I could be,

even when I try too hard, but that's me.

I realize things now that I've gotten the time,

I've gotten plenty of moments, given tons of signs.

But I couldn't see them then when I was unhappy,

my mood was depressive, stubborn and sappy.



Now that I realize things I fear it's too late,

been too many things to give me a clean slate.

I want you to know who I really am,

that was always my plan.

So with friendships and romance,

I think I deserve a second chance.

Thanks for sharing this poem with us! As long as there is life, we will have chances....second chances, third chances, etc. Just learn from the mistakes that cost us one of those chances!

Now, it is choices that we really have to watch! We live and sometimes die with the choices we make!

As long as there is life, there will be chances...second chances, third chances, etc. So just be glad you get these chances. If we "blow" one chance it is because we are just human!

But, be careful of your choices! Because we live and die with the choices we make!
