Sitting here beside you

I am lost in the moment.

Every little thing

a pretty picture

of what our lives could be.

Very new, yet not.

It feels as though 

we've known each other forever.

Evening stars glisten in the sky

as we cuddle on the couch.

Never have I felt so wonderful.

Never have I felt so complete.

Moving closer and closer

my lips twitch 

as I long for your kiss.

On my own I am lost,

in your arms I am found.

No one comes close

to the way you make me feel.

This is my perfect world,

lying here beside you.

However long we stay together

it will be these moments

I treasure forever.

Somehow I have this feeling

you and I will be here

30 years from now.

Just holding each other

knowing we have been here before

and basking in the joy;

basking in the memories.

Our bodies lie here entwined

and I can't help but notice

our hearts truly

beat as one.
