Never will I forget

those long ago dreams.

The dreams of being loved

by that one special guy.

The dream of being happy

and surrounded by friends.



I won't forget.

I won't forget the late night

games of bowling

every Friday night.

I won't forget working

and joking around together.

I won't forget stealing

each other's words.

I won't forget singing together

in the box office and how Phil said

we sounded like the songs

on the movie tunes.

I won't forget the early morning

drives to school.

I won't forget how you came

to see me in the hospital.

I won't forget the long conversations

about everything

and nothing at all.

I won't forget how you

would cheer me up

and make me smile--

how you were always

there for me.

I won't forget that one Christmas

or how you introduced me

to that one special guy.

I won't forget out secret jokes

or dropping "ish"

into daily conversation.

I won't forget the day me met.

But most of all,

I will never forget you,

my dear,

my friend.
