To The Dawn

As the frost loosens it's cold embrace

Gray mist ease into a summer haze.

The rains mirror the tears from my eyes

And give rise to the wildflower days.

So I blink away my innocence.

And as my silver quill freely flows

Amid dandelions and butterflies,

I dance where the secret garden grows.

A fragile wish whispered lingers there,

A glance at the riddle that is time,

An unseen, eternity unfolds

With the dawn, a new future is mine.
