Another night on a sea of emptiness,

another text, just lemme guess,

it's like the rest, a sound with no meaning,

walk sober like the best, still i'm leaning,

tried some cleaning to pass the time,

found some peace in a handwritten rhyme,

even being robbed blind has kept me unchanged,

even when the excuse of change sounds so strange,

even when the range of waiting was met,

not one second of my life isn't followed by regret,

with all due respect, i expect something better,

we weathered many storms, still it didn't get any better,

a much better fling took your mind off me,

even when you landed in New York softly,

guess you lost me, but the outcome costs who?

my entire life i'll feel like i lost you.
