Reliving Summer Days

Folder:
April 2013

As much as i try, then try some more,

i can't stop reliving summer days before,

it comes in waves until it fully covers all,

becomes the safety net whenever i fall,

i want to see you smile once again,

even if it's only as a friend, maybe then

i can stop reliving summer days passed,

see the future as a present, not as the past,

the thought is the cause to turning on the fire,

the effect is i run further, why even try her?

not a liar so why try to claim me

as a filthy person, can you blame me?

for wanting to tame me i give applause,

for dating then blaming me i give your flaws,

on a list that i must soon invent mentally,

before the past destroys the gift and prevents me.
