It's simply something we do to be cool,

always caused by the shit we've been through,

even if the living hurts just a little bit,

never ask yourself "yo is this really it?"

go out your front door, onto the street,

think of good lyrics that go with good beats,

never look at yourself and think it's enough,

always try to get more, sure it will be rough,

don't be a copier, don't be ashamed,

be who you are inside of your own brain,

make your own rules, yeah make your own game,

no idea is original, they're all one in the same,

just like the Mary Jane you kiss, it's something that you do,

it's always gonna come back round to bite you,

the things you choose complained about by fools,

who simply do what they do just to be cool.
