Inspired by you

~Lucky~

Your words brought me tears.
It was your touch that brought me hope.

As I read, your twisted, compelling words.
It brought a dream, and inspiration.

I know now, that I didn't know then.
My words will always be the same.

When it is your heart that isn't healed.
Mine thought it has been fixed.

I read that line over and over.
Knowing that I will never have your heart.

Truth is your heart is taken.
Mine has been beaten.

You caught a glimpse of me.
I saw a Greek God Poseidon.

I was never right for you.
Your seas brought me tears.

I was young in your eyes.
You were a gentleman in mine.

Never thought I tell you.
You were in my dreams.

You had a choice, me or her.
I didn't think I had a chance.

She looked at me with eyes of Hades.
I smiled at you with a smile of Aphrodite.

You looked lost in your sea.
Which brought me to a waterfall.

Deep in space off you went.
Left behind only to regret.

Never coming back.
That I ever thought you would be mine.

You made a poem only to hear.
I got lost on the moon.

She had left you.
I was here and now I'm gone.

You were left, only to see.
My heart had died in a crash.

I was gone, off to be.
You left me in a flash.

Never thought to look back.
You were the one.

It was me you needed so bad.
You were the one who made me cry.

Now that you opened your eyes.
Mine will never open again.

When you were lost at sea.
I was living on a dream.

You were blinded by her to be.
I got lost on the way.

She was the wife of Hades
I will never make it back.

You were deceived.
My heart was stabbed.

It was your words.
That lead me here.

Eyes so deep.
But I couldn't Keep.

You let me go.
Waiting for you I fell asleep.

Could you ever see me.
I dreamed of a man.

When you closed your eyes.
Only to be.

With your words so deep at sea.
I wrote down a direction or two.

You will free fall.
Only to be lost.

Now that you see.
I am on the moon.

We both made a mistake or two.
We both made it to the future.

As I smile at you, and you at me.
We would have never thought.

Those words I do.
Were made for me and you.
