These tears aren’t in regard to you…

They never have been

You look so helpless when I cry

But yet you don’t know what to do

Because there is nothing to do

I pretend to cry, because you don’t understand me

But do you see I don’t understand myself

So you are my replacement

For this lacking

I cry because I need help

I am sad and don’t know how to change it

I don’t know who I am

I am not good enough for myself

I need to be told that I am

And no matter what, you still love me

I need this because I can’t love myself

And I need you to help me

I need you desperately

I need your help

I am crying because I am lonely within myself

It isn’t you…It’s me

And it has always been me

But I don’t know how to stop it.
