Forgotten Memory

Forget me

I know how easily

I am replaced

There's always

another one waiting

whoever's next in line

Just pull down

the shades

and shield me

from the sun

I want to go

so many places

I want to be

so many things

but this is all

I am

Not worthy of love

Not worthy of hate

But pale indifference

as you look

right through me

a dusty shadow

of a soul

pinned to your wall

of forgotten memories

a faded photograph

buried in the dirt

and I don't remember

the sun

until it

burns my eyes

I don't know how I missed this one the first time 'round. Another dark, downward spiral. But hey, cheer up, your poetry is beautiful. Nicely written work.
