I remember a time when there was love

In each and every corner of my superficial life

Every day meant nothing because no matter what

I always looked forward to the next day

When I could see you again

I’d look in your eyes and know somehow

I’d be looking into them for the rest of my life

Now when I look in your eyes

I see dullness

There is no life

Your stare sears through me like a knife to my broken heart

It hurts like never before

I thought there was still some hope for you

For me, for us

But you turn and walk away

Each step you take is one heart beat closer to realizing

You never were the one who could help make my dreams come true

Even though it’s hard to believe

There is another one

He will be the dream I had waited so long for

Praying day and night to come true
